If you want to reload that YouTube video on this site you can. Everyone related to it during my presentation on Thursday. At first I thought that I wasn't going to be able to use it because of the internet but the guys managed it thank goodness, I was nervous enough without too many tech hitches.

Hi Simon,
I am still exploring Blogging and Social Networks and hope to become more involved and develop a better understanding of how these sites can be use in Blending Learning. Cheers

Hi Simon
I have met you at a LearnScope wrapup earlier this year I think. I have also enjoyed some PD that I think you ran at BNIT. I am really interested to hear you say you are trialling Ning with your new intake of stonemasonry students. Isn't it amazing what a link in 'edna' can do! Talk about connectivism! Cheers

Hi Elaine, you're right there is a bewildering array of Web2.0 tools. I'm just immersing myself in the technology and hoping that I can narrow down a small but perfectly formed toolbox of them. But this will not happen, because the rate of change is increasing. No sooner do I get a tool in each hand, than another more appealing one appears. And another, etc.
So I figure the best way to manage is to pick up and use as many as I can. Get to know them all so I can reach into my overflowing toolbox at any time and pull out an arm that looks like Inspector Gadget!

Hi!

I am looking at lots of social software applications for leanring and am thinking that the possibilities of ning, wiki and igoogle tools may be of most use to me with delicio.us of course, so far.

I am keen to join the education ning and link up with classroom 2.0. This "2.0" as a concept is really taking off as foreshadowing a paradigm shift. Can it miss education?

A year in Ning

It’s now a year since I started this, my first Ning network. At this time last year, I was searching for interactive ways to connect with colleagues outside the institution’s Intranet /email system that I found so constricting. It’s been an interesting journey along which I’ve developed new communication skills, and expanded my network of like-minded friends.

Expanding the VeMentoring network
When I started this Ning network, I considered only my VeMentoring friends, but then quickly dis… Continue

Welcome to 2008

Well I know that January is usually a slow month, but it seems like a year has passed since we were in 2007. Nearly time for classes to start again - just one more day left for me to sleep in!

Just to really get 2008 going, I'd like to leapfrog Expectations straight into Reality... thank you Alan Levine for resurrecting this page.

Creating a library blog

An interesting discussion at Classroom 2.0 regarding Library Blogs got me thinking about how a library blog could be used in TAFE to connect staff and students. The discussion also includes a wiki of school library blogs already in use.… Continue
